Here is a helpful suggestion on how to write an obituary for your loved one. Remember that an obituary is typically 2-3 paragraphs about your loved one that you want others to learn/remember, but it can be longer if you wish. All of these are optional - share as much or as little as you wish.
Paragraph 1
- Full name (Nickname)
- Date and place of birth
- Parents
- Date & location of passing
- Graduated from: school name and year
Paragraph 2
- Name of spouse (year of marriage and place they met)
- Work experience
- Military experience
- Hobbies or how he/she liked spending time
- Affiliations (church, groups, etc)
- Quirks
- Personality traits that stand out
- How most people would describe them
Paragraph 3
- Preceded in death by (Closest to furthest relationship)
- Survived by (spouse, children, parents, siblings, # of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren)
