On-Site Crematory

On-Site Crematory

Why is having an on-site crematory important?

Once your loved one arrives, they never leave our care. We are among the very few funeral homes to operate our own crematory on the same property as our funeral home. To assure your loved one is being cared for appropriately, we adhere to a rigid pre-cremation process that includes a permanent stainless steel ID tag, which is confirmed at every step of the process. Our crematory staff members are licensed, and our crematory is inspected on a regular basis.

Why is having an on-site crematory important?

Cremation is the process of reducing the body of the deceased to fragments of bone by way of heat and flame. We prefer to say "cremated remains" rather than "ashes" because we believe that the term "ashes" can be misleading. Our funeral directors or crematory staff can explain the consistency of cremated remains in as much detail as you prefer. It usually takes between 5 and 10 days to receive all the documentation required for cremation.

You have choices.

We also believe that cremation should be an affordable, yet dignified, alternative to earth burial. We offer many options for those who choose the cremation process. Please allow us to discuss the many ways, from simple to elaborate, that we can help you make the right choices for your family.

  • We can help you plan a Memorial/Celebration of Life Service in our chapel or at a different location. Sometimes families want the cremated remains present, but that is optional.
  • Many families wish to have a full, traditional service for their loved one with a viewing/visitation or a Rosary followed by a funeral service. Services can be in our chapel, a church, or another place of your choosing. We can help with planning every step of the way.
  • Included with every cremation is a simple, non-decorative urn, but we have a wide range of urns for you to choose from if you wish. Ask us about pendants, remembrance art glass, keepsake urns, scattering urns, and eco-urns (for salt water, fresh water, and earth burial).
