Yolanda Santos

Yolanda Santos, age 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born on May 12, 1953 in Chicago, IL.

She moved to Texas in 1968. At age 19, Yolanda married Oscar Garcia Santos and celebrated 50 years of marriage last year. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Garcia Santos who died on April 22, 2023. She is survived by her five children Joseph I. Santos, Patricia M. Santos, Carmen M. Gonzalez, Laura M. Rivas and Oscar G. Santos Jr. Yolanda leaves behind 23 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She dedicated her professional career to helping others and was a well-loved member of her community. Yolanda never met a stranger and was always up for an adventure! After early retirement, her favorite pass time was spent at the slot machines. Her kind heart and encouraging words will be missed by all those who knew Yolanda.

Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a Rosary Service at 4:30 PM, Monday, October 9, 2023 at Jeter & Son Funeral Home Cedar Hill Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM, Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church.
