Watson Alexander Crumbie Jr.

August 13, 1925 - February 14, 2023

Watson Alexander Crumbie Jr. was born 97 years ago in Dallas, Texas to Watson A. Sr, and Lillian Hembree. He graduated from Oak Cliff High School (now Adamson) in 1942. He had one sister, Anna Jo Discher Morse.

He served in the United States Marine Corps, seeing action in WWII and Korea. Participating in seven battles, he survived some of the fiercest fighting and harshest conditions in the battle on the island of Okinawa (WWII) and in the battle of the Chosin Reservoir (Korean War).

After serving in the Corps, he worked with his brother-in-law and sister at Morse Appliance Co. until his retirement in 1989.

On July 21, 1950 he married Belva Clare Hope. Their marriage spanned 52 years ending with her death in 2002.

After the death of Belva, he married Margaret Anne Righter on July 30, 2005. They were married just short of 13 years ending with her death in 2018.

Watson is survived by his three children and their spouses: Belva & Robert Aydelotte, Jeanine and Gary Michaelson, and Harold and Karen Crumbie; his grandchildren Jean Hare, Stacy Duffy, Lauren Hoklas, Anna Crumbie, Micah Crumbie, Arthur Crumbie and Abigail Crumbie; and his great grandchildren Charlotte and Michael Hare, Ronan and Mason Crumbie, Holland Hoklas, and Quinn and Zachary Duffy; and nephew Glen Morse.
