Obituary

Wanda Lou Davis High was born August 16, 1930 in Waco, Texas to father Horace Davis and mother Mary Pack Davis.
At a young age, Wanda developed a love for the Lord. She played piano and sang at church. Wanda Davis graduated high school in 1948. That same year, July 31, she married the love of her life Johnnie Ray High. They happily celebrated 61 years of marriage here on earth before his passing in 2010 .

While in Waco, Wanda worked at a bank and continued her banking career when they moved to El Paso when Johnnie was stationed there by the Army. They had one daughter Luanne Dorman and shortly after that they moved to DFW. Wanda opened up a gift shop in Grapevine while her and Johnnie started the Country Music Revue in 1974. They bought their own theater in 1994 and Wanda was always the brains behind the scenes. Through the Country Music Revue they made many lifelong friends that became extended family.  Wanda loved deeply and was such a gracious and generous person who touched the lives of many.
She is preceded in death by her husband Johnnie High, her father Horace Davis and mother Mary Davis.
Survived by her sister Martha Clark, her daughter Luanne Dorman and her husband Johnny, her granddaughter Ashley Rowan and husband Chase, grandson Trey Dorman and his wife Ashley, grandson Jared Dorman, great-grandchildren Alyssa and Ranger Rowan, Kinley and Gia Dorman, niece Charlotte Stowers, niece Donna Nichols and her husband Odis, and many other close family members and friends.
