Wade Joseph Welsh, 71, of Katy, formerly of Plano, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 24, 2023 at Baylor, Scott, and White Medical Center Heart Hospital in Plano.  Born September 12, 1951 in Youngstown, Ohio, he was the son of Dorothy Stahl Welsh Horton and the late Edward Lawrene Welsh.

He was a retired teacher and coach in the Plano School System.  He was a member of the First Methodist Carrollton.

Survivors include his wife Sandra "Sandi" Adkins Welsh; sons, Ryan Foster Welsh and wife Deana, and Kyle Welsh and wife April of Katy; daughter, Kelli Welsh Guajardo and husband Antonio of Carrollton; three grandchildren, Caitlyn, Dane, and Abbie; his mother Dorothy Horton; and his two sisters Terri Bewley and Shari Bare.

A memorial service will be held 7:00 p.m. Thursday, March 30, 2023 at First Methodist Carrollton, 2201 E. Hebron Pkwy, Carrollton, TX 75010
