Virginia Ybarra, 89, of San Marcos, Texas passed away on June 26th 2023 in Dallas, Texas. She was born on December 29th 1933 in San Marcos, Texas. Tia Viki, as she was affectionately known, was a devout Catholic and a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

Tia Viki dedicated a significant portion of her life to her career. She retired from DISD Rosemont Elementary School after working numerous years.

After her retirement, Tia Viki selflessly devoted her time and energy to caring for her mother, Trinidad. She was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, and aunt who will be greatly missed by her surviving family members. Tia Viki is survived by her brothers Albert and Johnny G. Ybarra, both residing in Dallas, Texas. Brother-in-law Epifanio Chagoya of Dallas, Texas and sister-in-law Francis Ybarra of San Marcos, Texas. Although she didn't have children of her own, she played an instrumental role in raising her nieces and nephews including Velinda Pope and David Daniel Ybarra of San Marcos, Texas, Cecilia (Lauren) Ybarra of Frisco, Texas. Edward, Robert, Danny, Angie Meza and Celina (Victor) Molina. Last but not least Tia Viki held a special place in her heart for Ricky (Tina) Chagoya and Marivel (Justin) Davis, whom she adored & was extremely proud of.

Tia Viki was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Trinidad Ybarra, and her siblings David Ybarra, Zulema Meza and Elida Chagoya.

Tia Viki's faith was an integral part of her life and she found solace and comfort in her worship at St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

Tia Viki's loving presence, unwavering dedication and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come.

Services to take place Wednesday July 12, 2023,  at

St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 1809 W. Davis St.,  Dallas, TX 75208.

Rosary begins at 1:30 PM and the Mass immediately following  at 2 PM.
