Vicente Rene
Carrizales
Aug 26, 1951 — Jul 18, 2024
Vicente Rene Carrizales
Vincent was born to Gustavo Carrizales and Adelina Carrizales in Dallas, Texas on August 26, 1951. He died on July 18, 2024 surrounded by his family and loved ones.
Vincent was one of five children born to Gustavo and Adelina: Gus, Yolanda, Martha, Vincent, and Richard. Vincent grew up in Dallas and he loved sports and played basketball, soccer, and baseball. Vincent met the love of his life, Alice Solares Carrizales, at Crozier Tech High School in Dallas, Texas where he graduated in 1969. They married on August 18, 1973, at the Cathedral of Our Lady of Guadalupe in downtown Dallas.
Vincent is a veteran of the United States Army where he served his country during the Vietnam War. Vincent returned home and continued to serve his country in the United States Postal Service for a further 30 years.
Vincent loved coffee, golf, soccer, cigars, the Tober Reunion (winning many a volleyball tournament and horseshoe tournament), the Dallas Cowboys, Real Madrid, and the Texas Rangers. But more than anything else, he loved spending time with his family. You could find Vincent at a cigar shop or a golf course with a nice fitting lid and a strong opinion on any topic.
Vincent and Alice welcomed three children into their lives, Veronique, Vincent II, and Michael. In 2009, Vincent became a grandfather and transformed into who he was always meant to be: Pops. Pops loved all of his six grandchildren. There is nothing he would not do for them, and they completed his life. Pops would schedule his entire week around any volleyball game or soccer game for any of his grandchildren no matter how close or far. You could find Pops at a volleyball court or soccer field watching his grandchildren with a nice fitting lid and a strong opinion on any topic.
Vincent was preceded in death by his father, Gustavo, his mother Adelina, his brother Gustavo, his two sisters, Yolanda and Martha, and his many beloved dogs.
He is survived by his wife, Alice, his brother Richard, his three children, Veronique, Vincent II, and Michael, and his grandchildren, Caitlin, Sophia, Adam, Trey, Luke, and Ben, along with his many loving nieces and nephews.
Vincent died with the love of his life at his bedside until his last breath, as he would have wanted it
