Tom Almarez Garcia

January 31, 1957  ~  July 3, 2022

Tom Almarez Garcia was a loving and caring father, brother, Grandpa, son, and friend. He went to be with the lord on July 3rd, 2022 at 4:48AM at the age of 65.

Tom was born in Dallas, Texas on January 31st, 1957 to parents Tom and Hortencia Garcia. He attended schools in DISD, and graduated from Sunset High School in 1977. He later joined the Army and proudly served 8 years. After serving in the army, he moved back to his hometown of Dallas, where he met Sophia Becerra Garcia. They in total had 6 children together. Tom was a great man who loved his children, grandkids, and siblings dearly. He was a hardworking man and loved working as a custodian for Truman Middle school in Grand Prairie. He was always supportive and there for everyone. His love for oldies, coffee, lottery tickets, and Dr. Pepper will always be remembered by those who knew him best. He will be greatly missed forever.

Tom is survived by spouse Sophia Becerra Garcia. Children Stephanie, Priscilla, Christina, Tom, Sandy, and Amanda. Grandkids Faith, Lily, Crissy, Jax, Rosy, and Ella. Sister, Esmeralda Russell. His fur babies Gordo and Precious.
Along with many nieces, nephews, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.

He is proceeded in death by his mother, Hortencia Flores Garcia

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 11, 2022 from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Jeter & Son Funeral Home located at 4830 West Illinois Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75211.

Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at 10:00 A.M. in the same chapel. Interment to follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
