Timothy John Klukas, 70, of Mesquite passed away unexpectedly on Saturday April 8th, 2023.
He was born December 15, 1952 in Medford, Wisconsin, to Melvin Richard Klukas and Gwendolyn Joan Setzer Klukas. Tim served in the United States Army for 21 years. He retired as Sergeant First Class of the military police with honors. He received an army commendation medal, army achievement medal, humanitarian service medal, army good conduct medal, national defense service medal, NCO professional development ribbon, Southwest Asia service medal, joint meritorious unit award, army service ribbon, overseas service ribbon, and Kuwait libertarian medal. He established a love for Germany and volksmarches on his deployments there.
Tim is survived by his son James Richard Klukas of Houston, Texas, son John Allen Klukas of Josephine, Texas, his many grandchildren and his brother Rod Klukas of Mesa, Arizona.
He looked forward to his regular visits and chats with his sons and his grandchildren. He instilled in them a love of country and a hard work ethic.
Tim enjoyed nature and being in the outdoors. He found solace under the shade of his large trees. He had a special connection with animals and enjoyed the company of his pets.
Tim was a respected member of his community and could often be found lending a hand, mowing the lawns for his neighbors and helping out where he could.
Tim will be laid to rest with Military Honors at 9:30 am, Tuesday, April 18th 2023 at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
