In loving memory of Thavixay Vongphakdy, born on May 4, 1958, in Vientiane, Laos, to his beloved parents Chan Vongphakdy and Sone Vongphakdy. Thavixay's life was a testament to resilience, love, and a commitment to family. He departed this world on December 4,2023, leaving behind a legacy etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
Thavixay's love story began when he met his soulmate, Khampheuy Sribounheuang. They were united in marriage in 1984, and together, they built a life grounded in love and shared dreams. They first crossed paths in Napho Camp located in Nakhonphanom Province, Thailand, and from that moment forward, their journey was one of partnership, understanding, and mutual support. Thavixay's devotion to his family was unparalleled. His role as a loving husband and father was defined by his tireless work ethic, ensuring that his family had not only everything they needed but also everything they desired. Beyond the walls of his home, Thavixay's love radiated to his community. Known for his warm heart and genuine kindness, he touched the lives of many. His passions included capturing moments through photography, creating a visual legacy for his family to cherish. He also found solace in fishing and outdoor activities, pursuits that mirrored his appreciation for the beauty of life.
Thavixay's dedication extended to his children, whom he encouraged to strive for excellence and pursue their entrepreneurial dreams. His guidance was a steady force, empowering them to reach for the stars. Thavixay's love, wisdom, and work ethic will continue to inspire and guide his family for generations to come.
He is survived by Khampheuy, his loving wife of 39 years, and their cherished children: Ketsana Vongcerra, Ratchana Nanthavongsa and Johnny Vongphakdy. Thavixay is also remembered by his granddaughter Aaliyah Nanthavongsa. While we mourn his physical absence, his spirit lives on in the memories, values, and love he shared with us all. May he rest in eternal peace.
