In Loving Memory of Than Ath

July 10, 1919 - June 15, 2023

Than Ath, a strong and resilient woman, peacefully passed away on June 15, 2023, at the age of 103. Born in Cambodia on July 10, 1919, she found refuge in America during the Khmer Rouge Genocide, where she courageously started a new life with her family in Dallas, Texas.

Than Ath was a loving mother to her four children: Houy Houp, Pa Houp, Marin Houp, and Maren Houp. She treasured her role as a matriarch and took pride in her 17 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Her unwavering strength and enduring love left an indelible impact on each generation.

With an unwavering spirit, Than Ath faced life's challenges head-on. Her resilience and determination were an inspiration to all who knew her. As we mourn her loss, let us celebrate the remarkable life she lived, her unyielding strength, and the legacy of love she leaves behind.
