Susana Rodriguez was born on December 11th, 1958, in Matamoros Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Maria De La Luz Gonzalez and Esteban Leos Quezada. She was called home on January 1st, 2024.
Susana was a devout Christian woman who was a member at Holy Cross Catholic Church. There she was able to touch and convert those who were lost to follow Christ. Those who knew Susana will miss her immense love and support, as well as her joy.
Susana was employed by Dallas Independent School District, and recently retired after fulfilling 33 years of service. She also served the Parish of Holy Cross as a Catechist teaching the sacraments and the word of God. Not just to the members of the church, but to anyone that crossed her path. Susana had a competitive spirit and enjoyed playing games. She also enjoyed taking short road trips with family. She loved telling stories, whether from her childhood or even imagined. She loved mentoring children in school and guiding them on the right path. She offered compassion and wisdom.
She was a great person who loved everyone, even if they weren't family. Susana was a loving daughter, mother, grandmother, sister, friend, and coworker.
Susana is preceded in death by her father, Esteban L. Quezada, her brother, Jesus Quezada, and her mother, Maria D. Gonzalez. She will be survived by her husband, Candelario Rodriguez, and her children, Petra Cruz, Francesca Cruz, Candelario Cruz, Maria Martinez, Juan Francisco Rodriguez, Jesus Rodriguez, Emilio Bocanegra, Mel Cruz, her sister, Maria Guadalupe Quezada, and her brother, Juan Quezada. Susana is also survived by thirteen grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
She will be deeply missed and loved by friends and family.
Visitation will be at Jeter & Son Funeral Home from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM with a time for sharing from 4:00 PM to 5:30 PM, Thursday, January 11, 2024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM, Friday, January 12, 2024 at Holy Cross Catholic Church with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM.

Le sobrevivirán su esposo, Candelario Rodríguez, y sus hijos, Petra Cruz, Francesca Cruz, Candelario Cruz, María Martínez, Juan Francisco Rodríguez, Jesús Rodríguez, Emilio Bocanegra, Mel Cruz, su hermana, María Guadalupe Quezada y su hermano. , Juan Quezada. A Susana también le sobreviven trece nietos y cuatro bisnietos.
Amigos y familiares la extrañarán y la amarán profundamente.
El velorio será en Jeter & Son Funeral Home de 1:00 p. m. a 6:00 p. m. con un tiempo para compartir de 4:00 p. m. a 5:30 p. m., el jueves 11 de enero de 2024. Una misa de entierro cristiano será en 11:00 a. m., viernes 12 de enero de 2024 en la Iglesia Católica Holy Cross con un velorio a partir de las 10:00 a. m.
