In Loving Memory of Susan Yvonne Hall
Susan Yvonne Hall, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away at
the age of 73 on Saturday, October 7, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. She was
surrounded by her loving family.
Susan was born on June 27, 1950, in Orlando, FL.
She graduated from W. H. Adamson High School in Oak Cliff, TX. Susan was preceded in death by her father and mother, Virgil "Tex" Willis and Frankie Tinnell Willis, as well as her beloved brother, Jimmy Willis, nephew, Richard Armstrong and brother in Law, Kenny McDaniel. Her dear sister, Dorothy "Dottie" Armstrong, joined her in heaven just two days later.
She is survived by her loving husband, Robert Willingham, and her devoted son, Scott
Hall and her daughter-in-law, Michelle. Susan took great joy in being a grandmother
to their children, Lindsey and Megan Hall. Her family meant the world to her.
Susan is also survived by her special sisters, Shirley (Kenny) McDaniel and Vickie
(Pat) DeRouen. She will be deeply missed by a host of relatives: sister-in-law, Paula
Willis, brother-in-law, Richard "Gabby" Armstrong, numerous nieces, and nephews:
Amy and Tony, Dori, Seth, Chad, and Chris along with her loving cousins, Debbie
(Dan) Taylor and Linda (Kenny) Taylor. Susan had so many lifelong friends and
buddies that will miss her immensely.
One of Susan's favorite things to do was to take weekend drives. She enjoyed visiting
State Parks, Galveston, Glenrose, Dinosaur Valley and Windstar Casino. She enjoyed
the outdoors, camping and walking at Six Flags and the State Fair of TX.
Susan biggest joy came from spending time with her granddaughters, especially on
weekends and holidays. She was a generous and giving person. Susan was a
wonderful cook who knew how to entertain with an abundance of food and gifts for
all. As we bid farewell to our dear Susan, we will remember how strong she was and
hold tight to the love she gave us. She will be missed tremendously and remain in our
hearts forever.
As per Susan's wishes, there will be no funeral.
