Samuel Boyd Lee

Samuel Boyd Lee born May 8th, 1984 in Chicago, Illinois to Mark Christensen and Melissa Lee, passed away on April 25, 2024 in Duncanville, Texas.

Sam and Chasity Tyree-Lee were married for just short of 12 years. They met at Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama while Sam was training for the United States Army. For most of his adult life Sam served in a combination of the National Guard out of North Carolina and the United States Army at a variety of duty stations including Louisiana and two rotations in Korea.

Sam was passionate, enthusiastic and authentic with an undertone of seriousness at times who loved making a point. This probably led to his interest of knives and darts. Sam prided himself on his collection of knives. He was an avid dart player and active member of the Dallas Dart Association.

Sam loved with his whole heart. This love was showcased in numerous ways including in bragging and showing off his two beautiful daughters Ruby- Ann Lee and Ella Lee. He never missed an opportunity to show a picture of his girls and joke about how he never thought he would be a dad.

Sam was preceded in death by both his parents and his grandmother Nancy Hengel. He is survived by his wife Chasity Tyree-Lee, daughters Ruby-Ann and Ella Lee (Duncanville, Tx); his sisters Renee Stroud (Steve) and Elizabeth Foster; nieces and nephews.

Service will be held at 12:30pm on Monday, May 6th 2024 at New Vida Church of God 3727 W Kiest Blvd, Dallas TX 75233. Please come join as we celebrate Sam's life.
