Roy Kenneth Syders

August 19, 1947 - April 1, 2023

Beloved husband, son, grandfather, brother and uncle, Roy Kenneth Syders originally from Cleveland, Ohio entered peacefully into eternal rest on Saturday April 1 , 2023. After a valiant battle with cancer and various health issues. Roy was born to the late Fred W. Syders and Evelyn Cooke Syders on August 1, 1947.

Roy grew up with his older brother and four younger sisters in Cleveland, Ohio. As a young man, Roy enlisted into the Army and became a Sergeant SP/5 E-5 during the Vietnam War. Making Solider of the month during combat zone. Roy moved to Texas during the 80's to pursue his job career and marry his wife, Donna Martin Syders. He spent his retirement years dancing, and listening to rock music, and pursing his love of hot rod cars. His smile was infectious and touched all who knew him. His spirit radiated warmth and love.

Roy was preceded in death by his parents Fred and Evelyn Syders. He is survived by his wife, Donna Syders, siblings, grandchildren, nieces and nephews and numerous family members.

Military Honors and Interment will be at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, April 13, 2023 at Dallas Fort Worth National Cemetery, Dallas, Texas.
