Rosanna "Chana"
Aguero
Aug 23, 1969 — Feb 5, 2026
In Loving Memory...
Rosanna (Ayala) Aguero
Rosanna (Ayala) Aguero, 56, was born on August 23, 1969, and passed away on February 5, 2026, in Dallas, Texas. Chana (or Chanita), as she was affectionately known, was the eighth child born to Anita (Gutierrez) and Robert Ayala.
She enjoyed growing up in Oak Cliff with her five sisters and twin brothers. However, the next sibling in age was five years older than her, so God gave her one of the best gifts she could ever receive by bringing an adopted sister into her life when she was just six years old. Born just 12 days apart, she and Corina became the best of friends and were often referred to, and raised as, the second set of "twins" in the family. They were inseparable as children and teenagers and share many childhood friends to this day. So, it's not surprising that Corina was there when Rosanna met her future husband in the summer of 1984.
Geiner "Albert" Aguero was not only Rosanna's first boyfriend, but he was also her neighbor, living just a couple of blocks away. After several years of hanging out together, a romance blossomed and they married in 1990. Soon after, twin daughters Julianna and Juliet were born, with Nicholas being born two years later. Rosanna loved being a mother and passionately cared for all three of her children. She truly was their biggest advocate, and we firmly believe that she will continue to advocate for them from heaven.
Rosanna's favorite role in life, however, was being "Meemaw" to her granddaughter, Mia, who was the light and joy of her life. Creative and artistic by nature, Rosanna would spend hours preparing for birthdays and holidays, making each moment special and leaving countless memories for Mia to cherish. We take great comfort in knowing that Mia now has a special angel looking out for her.
Her siblings will fondly remember Chana as the quiet sister with a quick wit. She would often have us roaring in laughter with her perfectly-timed witty remarks that no one saw coming. She was easy to talk to, and we will forever treasure the individual relationships we each shared with her.
Rosanna was preceded in death by Albert, her husband of 34 years, and her father, Robert Ayala. She is survived by her children, Julianna, Juliet and Nicholas Aguero (fiancé Chelsea Martinez), and her granddaughter, Mia. She is also survived by her mother, Anita Ayala, and her siblings Robert Ayala (Lily); Anita Chavez; Rose Rojo; Linda Williams (Rick); Robert Ayala (Juanita); Albert Ayala; Sylvia Najera (Jaime); Alice "Polly" Leal; and Corina Ayala. She also leaves behind many nephews and nieces who shared very close relationships with her.
