Obituary

Rosa Elia Leon

Rosa Elia Leon was a woman after God's own heart.  Sister Rosa took her last breath on March 21, 2023 at 4:13pm after a brief illness.  She was born in Nueva Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico on July 6, 1945 to Jose Luz Cadena and Paula Lopez Garcia and later moved to Monterrey, Nuevo Leon.  She migrated to the United States in June 1970.  She was a loving wife, mother of 4, grandmother of 10 and great grandmother of 17. Not only was she loved by her family, but also loved and cherished by the church members and others that knew her.
Sister Rosa is preceded in death by her parents Jose Luz Cadena and Paula Lopez Garcia and her grandson Samuel Tovar, Jr.
Sister Rosa was a faithful member of Casa de Oracion Bethesda for 30 years.   She loved going to church.  Sister Rosa was a giver and a faithful servant.  She loved to clean the church. After grandmother Paulita passed away, she left sister Rosa in charge of  praying for her descendants. She was present at all the night prayer vigils, she was a prayer warrior.  She was a great example to everyone and will continue to touch people's lives from heaven.
One of the things she will always be remember by is that she was the first of her 12 siblings to migrate to the United States.  She opened up her home to her family to help them transition from Mexico to the their new home in USA.
Sister Rosa is survived by her husband Rogelio Leon, her children Maricela, Sonia, Paula and Nelly and her grand and great grand children.  She will be missed. She has fought a good fight and ran a good race into the loving arms of  her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ! She is rejoicing in Heaven.
