Obituary

Ronald Lee Stanley, Sr. was born on October 26, 1945, in Dallas, Texas to loving parents Robert and Ruby Stanley. Surrounded by his family, Ron died on June 6, 2026, at the age of 80. As the youngest of three siblings, he grew up with a passion for being outdoors and working with his hands.

Ron graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School in 1964 in Dallas and became a professional plumber working with Lonestar Gas, Certified Mechanical, Ridenhour Construction and then ultimately, Ron Stanley & Sons Plumbing in 1993 fulfilling his life-long dream of starting his own company and building it with his sons, which continues to service customers 33 years later.

Ron loved being with his family and friends through the years at the lake house he built on Lake Whitney and the hunting ranch in West Texas. Being around animals made Ron happy, from watching deer in freezing rain to feeding the pigeons and squirrels in the hot Texas summers at his home in downtown Dallas.

More than anything though, Ron cherished being with his grandchildren on the Holidays, birthdays and then watching them at their best at band competitions, playing on the baseball and soccer fields, dancing onstage at recitals and then graduating from high school and college.

Ron was a man of honor and integrity who loved his family, his friends and his country.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Ruby Stanley, sisters Barbara Jean Wilson and Mary Stanley and grandson Corey Owens.

Ron is survived by his children – Kristina, Ronnie, Randy and his wife Elizabeth, Eric and his wife Emily; grandchildren – Ashley, Lacey, Clay, Jason, Garrett, Ella and Eva; great grandchildren Tyler, Corbin, Madison and Colby; and lastly, his dog Bandit.
