Obituary

Roland Flores

October 22, 1958 ~ October 29, 2025

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Roland Flores, a beloved son, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to so many. He was born on October 22, 1958 in Harlingen, Texas and went home to the Lord on October 29, 2025, at the age of 67, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Roland was a proud veteran having served in the Army Reserve for 14 years. He retired from the US Postal Service in June after 35 years of loyal service. Roland was an avid sports fan, enjoyed riding his Harley, antiquing, coming across a great find at an estate sale, gardening, telling jokes, but most of all, he loved spending time with family and friends. He had a strong faith in God and a tremendous love for family.

He is preceded in death by his great granddaughter, Anais; his brother, Hector Jesus; his grand parents, Elvira and Jesus; his nephew, Mathew; his cousin, David; and many uncles and aunts.

He is survived by his parents, Sonia and Santos; children, Rachel and Michael; grandchildren, Isaiah, Lauren, Kailey, and Dalton; siblings, Sandy, Erendida, Sonia, Richard, and Rudy.  He also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

Family and friends are invited to honor Roland's memory during a visitation on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at Jeter & Son Funeral Home, 4830 West Illinois Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75211. A Rosary will be recited.

A funeral service will be held at Saint Cecilia Catholic Church,  1809 W Davis St, Dallas, TX 75208 on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Graveside Service with military honors to follow at Mountain Creek Cemetery, 2099 Hardy Rd, Grand Prairie, TX 75051.
