Randy Joe Petrik

It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow we announce the passing of Randy Joe Petrik, 66, from Cedar Hill, Texas. He passed peacefully the night of July 6, 2026 surrounded by family.

Randy had a heart of gold and found joy in serving others alongside using his gift of mechanic work where he retired from the City of University Park. Having such a generous soul he could bring happiness and laughter into any situation. Whether he was riding his favorite Harley alongside you, working on vehicles with you, giving great advice, lending a helping hand to those in need, or simply putting a grocery cart away for a stranger, we can honestly say he was a wonderful man, husband, father, and friend to all. He taught us the greatest gift of loving unconditionally like our savior Jesus Christ just by being true to himself.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Zelma Jean Harrod, and his parents Patsy Jo Starrett and Frank Joe Petrik. He leaves behind to cherish his memories his siblings Richard Petrik and Lisa Todd, his children Randy Petrik Jr. and Jennifer Lee, bonus children Kelley & Jack Beminio, Kim and Tony Pruitt, 15 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and the countless extended family and friends he will timelessly love forever.
