Philip Michael Ellis

September 14, 1974 - October 1, 2022

Philip Michael Ellis was born in Dallas, Texas September 14, 1974, to Carla Cook and Michael Ellis.  He passed away October 1, 2022, at the age of 48.

He was a proud lifelong resident of the Oak Cliff area of Dallas.  Philip was a participant in youth soccer.  He also ran track and played football at Skyline High School.  He was an intelligent student from Spelling Bee Champion at the local level to National Merit PSAT semifinalist.  He was offered several college scholarships.  He chose instead to become a proud Union Journeyman Electrician.  He was a member of IBEW Local 20.

Philip is survived by his mother Carla Cook, father Michael Ellis, daughter Laura Ellis, brother Keith Ellis (Jenifer), niece Avery Ellis and nephew Oliver Ellis, and grandfather John Ellis.  He is also survived by partner/fiancée Celina Ibarra and her children Ava Ibarra and Angel Ibarra and their children.

Other survivors include  aunt Rhonda Cook Peri (Ken), uncles Scott Ellis (Connie) and Andy Ellis (Kathi); cousins Jeff Martin (Cassie), Tom Ellis (Crystal), and David Ellis.  Also, numerous other family members and friends.

Philip was preceded in death by grandparents Binkley and Nettie Cook and Norma Jean Ellis.
