Petra Cruz
November 8, 1977 - October 4, 2024
Petra Cruz, born on November 8, 1977 in Dallas TX, to Susana Quezada and Antonio Cruz was called home on October 4th, 2024.
Petra was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend who brought warmth and light to all those around her. Known for her loving nature, she always made it a point to stay connected with everyone, ensuring they were doing well and sharing in the joys of their lives.
Petra spent her free time engaged in activities that brought her joy and relaxation-crossword puzzles, coloring, listening to music, and even refreshing her mind with a little math. She adored getting all dolled up with her hair and makeup, relishing any opportunity to shine with help from those around her. She also had a sweet tooth and never passed up the chance to enjoy her favorite treats.
A social butterfly, Petra, never passed up a chance to attend a get-together or party, cherishing the time spent with the people she loved most. Her infectious love for life and others extended to her ability to bring laughter to those around her, always knowing just how to lift everyone's spirits. Her loyalty to her family was unwavering, and she stood by them through their most challenging times.
Petra lived a full life, one brimming with experiences and moments no one could have imagined. Her heart was open and pure, filled with love and generosity that knew no bounds. She never missed capturing a precious moment, always ensuring that no one was ever forgotten-and in turn, we will never forget her.
Petra is preceded in death by her Mother Susana Rodriguez and is survived by her children, Mel Cruz & Diana Contreras Cruz and her two grandsons Liam and Lucas. As well as her siblings, Francisca Cruz, Candelario Cruz, Maria Martinez, Juan Rodriguez, and Jesus Rodriguez, along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, who will forever cherish the joy, laughter, and love she brought into their lives.
