Peggy Jean Plemons, age 97, of Dallas, Texas, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2026, in Duncanville, Texas were she resided for 63 years surrounded by her loving family. She was born on August 29, 1928, in Dallas, Texas, to Roy Butler Stewart and Peggy Roxie Wright Stewart.
Peggy lived a life centered on faith, family, and love. A devoted Christian, she found strength and joy in her faith throughout her life and was an example of kindness, compassion, and steadfast devotion to those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Fred D. Plemons, who passed away in 2003. Together they built a loving family and shared many cherished memories.
Peggy is survived by her two children: Patti and Michael and Spouse Joydale; four grandchildren: April, Eric, Joshua, and Shawn; twelve great-grandchildren: Hunter, Brayden, Drake, Zane, Colt, Berklie, Katelyn, Jessakay, Brennon, John, Naomi, and Silas; and one great-great-grandchild, Bentley, all of whom brought immense joy and pride to her life.
A dedicated mother, Peggy treasured her role as a room mother during her children's school years and was actively involved in supporting and encouraging her family. She had a deep love for animals and found great enjoyment in art, collecting antiques, and gathering with loved ones to play games and create lasting memories.
Among her favorite possessions were her collections of Coca-Cola memorabilia, which reflected her appreciation for nostalgia and history. Peggy also cherished traveling with her family, especially recalling a memorable vacation to Colorado that remained one of her favorite adventures.
Peggy's warmth, generosity, and unwavering love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Her legacy lives on through the generations she helped shape and the countless lives she touched with her gentle spirit and loving heart.
The family finds comfort in knowing that Peggy's faith sustained her throughout her life and that she is now at peace in the presence of her Lord and Savior.
A funeral service celebrating Peggy's life will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Jeter & Son Funeral Home. A committal service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.
