Patricia Eva Mangum, age 58, of Grand Prairie, Texas, passed away on July 9, 2022. Eva was born on March 7, 1964, to Leonora Rico and Albert Vasquez in the bustling city of Dallas, Texas. Eva graduated from Grand Prairie High School in 1983. Eva was known as a strong, multi talented, and determined woman who worked with a few different companies before settling into her career in the insurance industry.

Eva enjoyed a long and fruitful career of over 20 years with State Farm. She had the ideal personality and caring touch needed for this line of business.

In 2002, Eva met Garry in Irving, Texas. Eva and Garry enjoyed 15 years of marital bliss and had many adventures and wonderful memories together.

Eva was the glue that kept the family together. She was our dear Abby that we could always confide in, she would listen and offer sincere advice. Eva never met a soul who she disliked and made anyone, and everyone feel her warmth of love. She never knew a stranger.

She loved cooking way too much food for the family, caring for her fur babies, tending to her garden, and especially loved traveling across the country and sightseeing with Garry. Eva was a born-again Christian, a lover of Jesus and is no doubt standing in HIS presence now.

Eva was predeceased by: her parents Leonora Rico Vasquez and Albert "Beto" Vasquez, sister Patricia "Tita" Vasquez. She is survived by her husband Garry Wayne Mangum, father-in-law Jerry Wayne Mangum and sister-in-law Pamela Jean Oliver. Her brothers Manuel Albert Vasquez Jr and wife Julia, George Rico Vasquez and wife Laura, and sister Rebecca Vasquez Herring and husband Richard. Also, by her loving nieces and nephews and many, many more family members and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held in her honor at 2:00 PM, Saturday, July 23, 2022, at Jeter and Son Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas. A reception will follow.
