In Loving Memory of Nicholas Paul Munguia

January 21, 1955 – September 5, 2024

Nicholas Paul Munguia, beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 5, 2024. Born in Ft. Worth, Texas on January 21, 1955, Nicholas lived a life filled with music, creativity, and joy.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Alicia Munguia; his father, Nicholas Munguia II; and his son, Christopher Curtis. He is survived by his son, Nicholas T. Munguia, his wife Linda Ramirez, and their son Andres Munguia; his brother Carlos Munguia and his wife Susan, along with their children: Paul, Ben, Julie, and Christian; and his brother Mario Munguia and his wife Nita, along with their children: Ethan and Zachary.

A talented and passionate musician, Nicholas dedicated his life to sharing his love of music with others. He was a skilled drummer, pianist, guitarist, and multi-instrumentalist who enjoyed both performing and teaching. His career spanned decades, including studio work and private music lessons, where he inspired many aspiring musicians.

Nicholas had the privilege of performing with renowned artists, playing a few sets with Jennifer Love Hewitt and a couple of songs with Erykah Badu before she became famous. He also played alongside local legends such as Robert Lee Cobb, Bobby Charles, Joe Silva, and other talented musicians in the community.

His love for music and his warm spirit will live on in the hearts of all who knew him, and his contributions to the local music scene will be remembered and cherished.
