Morris Kongbouakhay was born on July 21, 1987 in Dallas, Texas and passed away on May 24, 2025 at the age of 37.

Morris was a kind, gentle soul whose warmth touched everyone he met. With an infectious smile and a generous heart, he had a gift for bringing joy to those around him. His passion for music and his deep appreciation for good food were just a few of the things that made him so unique and full of life.

Morris had a special love for children—always showing up to celebrate their milestones, whether they were family or not. His presence alone could light up a room, especially at a child's party where his joy and laughter were contagious.

Even in the face of illness, Morris showed incredible strength and resilience. He fought his battle with cancer bravely, never losing his spirit or his hope. His courage and love will continue to inspire those who knew him.

He is survived by his loving father, Malayviene Kongbouakhay, and mother, Viengthong Kongbouakhay; his sister, Christina Velazquez; his brother, Jason Kongbouakhay; his brother-in-law, Noe Velazquez Jr; and his Nieces, Layla, Sandrine & Noelia Velazquez , who will all carry his memory in their hearts forever.

Visitation will take place on Saturday, May 31, 2025 from 11:00 A.M. with a Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Jeter & Son Funeral Home, 4830 West Illinois Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75211.
