Mineko K. Rupe

October 30, 1932 – June 6, 2022

Mineko Rupe, known to many as "Minnie," 89, of White Settlement passed away Monday, June 6, 2022.

There will be no Graveside service. Minnie will be buried in the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, alongside her beloved husband, Harvey C. Rupe, Jr.

Minnie was born in Tsuyama-shi, Japan and married for 54 years to Harvey C. Rupe, Jr., whom she met in post-World War II Japan. Minnie supported Harvey's military career until he retired in 1963 at Carswell Air Force Base, Texas. Minnie worked as a nurse's aide at Cooks Children Hospital and Harris Hospital from the1980's to the 90's. Minnie and Harvey resided in White Settlement. Harvey passed in 2009.

Minnie was known throughout her neighborhood for her immaculately landscaped yard. She enjoyed gardening and caring for others.

For those fortunate enough to have known Minnie, they can attest to her kindness and generosity. Her family will always remember her for her selfless concern for family, caring nature, and inspiring work ethic. She was the perfect wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Mineko will be sorely missed by those whose lives she touched, but their remembrance and love for her will forever continue.

Minnie's survivors include her children - Sue McCann; Sarah Swinney and her husband, Tom; and Sam Rupe and his wife, Cindy; her grandchildren - Meghan Garza and her husband, Joseph; Heather Burch and her husband, Ryan; Jessica

McCann; and Patrick Rupe and his former wife, Ireane who remained close to Mineko; and her nine great grandchildren - Aoife, Micheal, and Daithi who reside in Ireland with Jessica McCann; Skylar Rupe; Olivia Mineko Burch and Colin Burch; Benjamin, Bailey, and Brooke Garza; and her extended family in Japan.
