Michael Wayne WIlliams (Mike)

Michael Wayne Williams (Mike), was born October 4, 1960 in Pawnee, Oklahoma to Curtis and Evona Williams. Mike passed away March 21, 2024 in Grand Prairie, Texas. Mike and his parents moved to Texas in December 1960 under the Indian Relocation program. Mike was a proud member of the Ponca tribe. Mike attended Grand Prairie schools,where he was an outstanding athlete. Mike graduated Grand Prairie High School in 1979.

Mike met the love of his life, Debi, in 1982 while they were both employed with the Dallas Times Herald. They were married March 23, 1984. Together they had a furniture delivery business for a few years. Mike really enjoyed driving the trucks. Later in life Mike began working for Irving ISD. He would continue to work there until the day he passed away. More than 20 years of hard work and dedication to Irving ISD. Mike was an honorable man. He was respectful, honest, gentle, kind, strong, and loyal to his family and friends. Mike was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother, nephew, uncle, cousin, friend and co worker to all who knew him. He was well respected by many.

Mike was preceded in death by his wife Debi Williams; parents Curtis and Evona Williams; brother Steve Williams; and nephew Christopher Rudman. Mike is survived by his daughter Dody Clement, husband Brett; grandson Airon Clement; sisters Debbie Stevens, husband Larry; Dani Rudman, husband Chris; brothers Tony Williams; Vohn Williams, and wife Janice. Numerous family and friends who will miss Mike dearly.

A memorial service for Mike will be held at Dallas Indian United Methodist Church at  11a.m. on Tuesday, April 2, 2024, with a meal to follow. In lieu of flowers please consider making a donation to Dallas Indian United Methodist Church.
