Michael Christian aged 64 passed away at Harris Methodist Hospital on September 5, 2025, after suffering a stroke on August 25, 2025. He loved and was loved by his family and friends who  will miss him always.

Mike was born on November 13, 1960 in Dallas, Texas. His parents were George and Marjorie Christian, and he was one of two children. He graduated from Grand Prairie High School and then went to college at University of Texas at Arlington. Mike spent his whole working career at Kroger, starting at age fifteen. (His mother told a fib and said he was sixteen so he could go to work as he wanted.) He was with Kroger for forty-eight years. Mike married Tammy Sears June 6, 1994 and then divorced four years later. Although he never legally adopted her two children from a previous marriage, he considered them as his own, and had a relationship with them until he died.

Mike is survived by his sister Sheryl, his nephew Cory, his stepchildren Cindy and Kelly, and their mother Tammy, former wife and forever friend; as well as grandniece Makana, his uncles Chris and TJ,  and of course many friends from all walks of life.

When Mike was in High School, he was involved and lettered in Band. He played many instruments, but mostly clarinet and guitar. As a young man, Mike discovered the joys of the great outdoors. This continued throughout his life. He loved nature in all its diversity, especially the mountains of Colorado. He enjoyed hiking, hunting, fishing, and boating. Mike was an avid gun collector and an amazing shooter as well. Other interests were Motocross, bowling, and baseball. Something else he loved was football, though he never played, and was a lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

Mike, Dad, Uncle Mike - We love you from the depths of our hearts and will forever miss you.

A Graveside service will be held at Grove Hill Cemetery in Dallas, TX on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 2:00 P.M.
