Matias "Matt"
Flores, Jr.
Sep 29, 1955 — Jan 31, 2026
In Loving Memory of Matias Flores, Jr.
September 29, 1955 – January 31, 2026
Matias (Matt) Flores, Jr. was a loving husband, devoted dad, proud grandpa, and a man whose life was defined by hard work and an endless love for his family.
Born on September 29, 1955, Matt was known in life for his responsibility, perseverance, and the belief that family always comes first. He built a life centered on providing, protecting, and showing up for the people he loved.
For 43 years, Matt shared a beautiful marriage with his wife, Rosa. Married on May 10, 1982, their partnership was built on love, commitment, and unwavering support for one another. Together they created a home full of laughter, strength, and family traditions that will live on for generations.
Matt was an entrepreneur at heart. He founded and operated his funeral escort service for 38 years, in addition to other business endeavors. He took immense pride in his work and was widely known for his loyalty and high level of service. His work was not just a job, it was a reflection of who he was: dependable, respectful, and dedicated to serving others with dignity.
Above all, Matt was most proud of his family. He worked hard to always provide for them and often told his children, "it's only money," showing that what truly mattered to him was their happiness and well-being.
Matt was also known for his dad jokes and sense of humor. He loved making people laugh. His jokes, smiles, and laughter will be deeply missed, but always remembered.
Matt was preceded in death by his parents, Dora Flores and Matias Flores Sr., and his brother, Aurelino Flores.
He leaves behind his beloved wife, Rosa Flores; his children, Sandy Kelley (and husband Waylon Kelley), Matthew Flores, and Erica Austin (and husband Hunter Austin); and his treasured grandchildren, Noah, Caroline and Connor Kelley, and Mack and Rose Austin — each of whom brought him endless joy and pride.
Matt will be remembered for his strength, his determined heart, his sense of responsibility, and his quiet sacrifices.
Though he is no longer with us, the legacy he built, through his family, his work, and his love, will live on forever.
