Con profundo pesar anunciamos el fallecimiento de María Parra (cariñosamente conocida como "Mary"), quien falleció el 2 de abril de 2025, a la edad de 45 años, en Fredericksburg, Texas.
Mary nació en Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, México, el 15 de diciembre de 1979, hija de María Del Rosario, y posteriormente se estableció en Fredericksburg, donde marcó la vida de muchas personas con su espíritu bondadoso y amoroso. María fue una madre, hermana y amiga devota, cuya cálida sonrisa y compasión jamás olvidaremos.
A María le gustaba dedicar su tiempo a la jardinería, al cuidado de sus animales, al baile y a la artesanía. Su amor por los animales se hizo evidente al acoger cabras y cerdos en su vida. También disfrutaba cuidando su jardín y dedicaba incontables horas a crear hermosas artesanías. Se incorporó a la nómina del rancho que dejaba, donde se encargaba de alimentar gallinas, caballos y muchos otros animales. Siempre se esforzó por mantener una sonrisa en los rostros de los niños, le encantaba hacer regalos y siempre estaba dispuesta a ayudar. Disfrutaba visitando la Plaza Pica Pica y explorando mercados de pulgas, donde descubrió su pasión por el baile.
A Mary le precedieron en la muerte su madre, María del Rosario, sus tías María González (La Guera), Lourdes Parra y su bebé Ángel. Le sobreviven su querida familia, incluyendo a su hijo Jaime Barragán, y muchos otros familiares y amigos que la apreciaban profundamente. El amor de María por su familia y su fe fueron los pilares de su vida, y su recuerdo vivirá en los corazones de todos quienes la conocieron.
Se llevará a cabo un velorio en la funeraria el domingo 13 de abril de 2025, de 2:00 p. m. a 6:00 p. m. Se celebrará una Misa de Cristian Entierro en la Iglesia Católica Nuestra Señora del Pilar el lunes 14 de abril de 2025 a las 11:00 a.m. Seguirá el servicio junto a la tumba en Oak Grove Memorial Gardens, Irving, Texas.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Maria Parra (affectionately known as "Mary"), who passed away on April 2, 2025, at the age of 45, in Fredericksburg, Texas.
Mary was born in Nuevo Laredo Tamaulipas Mexico on December 15, 1979 to Maria Del Rosario, and later made her home in Fredericksburg, where she touched the lives of many with her kind and loving spirit. Maria was a devoted mother, sister, and friend, whose warm smile and compassion will never be forgotten.
Mary enjoyed spending her time gardening, caring for her animals, dancing, and making crafts. Her love for animals was evident as she welcomed goats and pigs into her life. She also found joy in nurturing her garden and spent countless hours creating beautiful crafts. She added herself to payroll at the ranch she was leaving, where she took care of feeding chickens, horses, and many other animals. She always worked so hard to keep a smile on the children's faces, loved gifting others, and was always available to help. She enjoyed visiting Pica Pica Plaza and exploring flea markets, where she found her passion for dancing.
Mary was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Del Rosario, her aunts Maria Gonzalez (La Guerra), Lourdes Parra, and baby Angel. She is survived by her beloved family, including her son Jaime Barragan, and many other family members and friends who cherished her deeply. Maria's love for her family and her faith were the guiding forces in her life, and her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Sunday, April 13, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Nuestra Señora del Pilar Catholic Church on Monday, April 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM. Graveside service will follow at Oak Grove memorial Gardens, Irving, Texas.
