Maria Juanita Gutierrez

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Maria J. Gutierrez, affectionately known by many as "La Paloma Blanca." She left us on November 29, 2024, at the age of 77. Maria was born on December 6, 1946, in Kennedy, TX, to the late Isidro Perez and Ruperta Reyes.

Maria had a beautiful and generous soul; she was the rock of our family. Throughout her life, she held various jobs, including working in agriculture, caring for the elderly, and serving as a machine operator for cabinetry. Maria loved music, dancing, shopping, and spending time with her family. Always a joyful person, she was the life of the party and had a unique ability to connect with people of all ages. Whether out and about or at home, she always dressed impeccably. One of Maria's pet peeves was seeing anyone in wrinkled clothes, so her family made sure to visit looking tidy.

She is survived by her husband, Armando Balderas; her sons, Joe A. Gutierrez "Chonky," Carlos Gutierrez "Viro," David Corona, and the late Armando Gutierrez; her daughters, Diana G. Martinez, Mary Lou Gutierrez "Maggie," and Sandra L. Morales; as well as her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, daughters-in-law, and sons-in-law.

Maria will be greatly missed, but she leaves us with amazing and wonderful memories.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th, 2024 from 2:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. in the Chapel of Jeter & Son Funeral Home located at 4830 West Illinois Avenue, Dallas, Texas 75211, with a Rosary at 5:30 P.M.

Funeral Service will be held in the same Chapel on Friday, December 6th, 2024 at 10 A.M.. Burial to follow at Little Bethel Memorial Park in Duncanville, Texas.
