Obituary

Margaret Helen Luck

Margaret Helen (Moore) Luck, born January 29, 1932, joined the Lord December 11, 2023.

Margaret loved to play the piano, sing, work jigsaw & word puzzles, ski, paint, & go to church. She loved mountains, snow, fall scenery, & animals, especially deer, elk, cats, dachshunds, & otters. She said if she had to be an animal, she would choose being an otter, because they looked like they had so much fun.

She also, of course, loved her family, & she loved God. Quite a lot of time in this life was spent thinking about the next, for her & everyone she cared about.

She looked up to her siblings & was very close to her sisters in particular, all attending the same church for decades. In their youth, they loved going to dude ranches together to ride horses. They all had a love of snow skiing, which they did together as well over the years. Raised in Dallas, she graduated from Sunset High School at the age of 16.

Working at Nestlé in the 1950's, she met her husband, Paul, & had two daughters. They lived together primarily in Dallas & DeSoto. She retired as a secretary working for the Department of Education in the Office for Civil Rights.

She was excited for each grandbaby & great-grandbaby to come along & is just missing her chance at getting to meet in-person a great-great-grandbaby due soon.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Becky Towle & Melanie Paxton, sons-in-law, John Towle & Chris Paxton, her grandchildren, Jeremy Luck, Michael Watson, Jack Larsen, Dean Hardee, & Brendan Paxton, as well as eleven great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, five step-great-granchildren, one step-great-great-grandchild, niece Laurie Hoar, nephew Mark Schwartz, great-nieces & nephews she dearly loved, Mary Beth Haley, daughter of a beloved cousin, & spouses & children of some of those listed above.

She was greeted on the other side by her husband, Paul Luck, her parents, Oran & Docie Bell Moore, siblings, Donald Moore, Nola Bell Schwartz, & Carolyn Tudor, & their spouses Sam Schwartz & Benjamin Tudor, & cousins, the closest through the years being her cousin Sara Beth Kendrick, who gifted to Margaret what will be her final resting place, joining her siblings, which she was so grateful for.

She outlived so many she loved in this life, but all the more who were present welcoming her into Heaven. She will be missed here.
