Manuel R. Flores

December 10, 1941 - December 17, 2023

Manuel was born on December 10, 1941, in Piedras Negras, Mexico, to Francisca Recio and Manuel Flores.  He passed away on December 17th, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.  He is preceded in death by his parents and brothers Pedro Flores Recio and Joaquin Flores Recio.  He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Josephine Flores, and siblings Alejandro Flores Recio, Hector Flores Recio,  Julio Flores Recio, Maria de Jesus Flores Recio, Francisca Flores de Nava, Irma Gonzalez, Alma Rosa Perez, Maria de Socorro Flores and Doria Alicia Loredo.  He was a loving father to Anna Medina, Jennifer DeLeon (Jesse DeLeon), Jimmy Brown, Ruben Flores, Raul Flores and Olivia Flores.  He was a grandfather to 15 grandkids and great-grandfather to 19 great-grandchildren. He was also uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

He worked hard in life and fought hard against his cancer until his last breath.  He never complained about being sick or in pain.  He loved and lived for his family and did not want to leave us.  He was highly respected and admired by everyone who knew him, including numerous life-long friends.  He was always generous with his family and worked hard to leave a home that his children and family would always be able to go to.   He was funny and had a great smile and laugh that we will never forget.

Manuel's passing left a big hole in everyone's hearts and he will be missed dearly.  Our lives are forever changed because of him.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM, Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at Jeter and Son Funeral Home, Dallas, Texas. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 AM, Thursday, December 21, 2023 at St. Cecilia Catholic Church, 1801 W. Davis St., Dallas, Texas 75208.
