Manuel George Bocanegra

February 22, 1953 - September 23, 2023

Manuel George Bocanegra gained his wings on September 23, 2023, at Parkland Health Hospital. Manuel is preceded in death by his granddaughter Celeste Nichole Lopez, his parents Maggie and Joe, and his siblings Michael, Andres, Johnny, and Isabel. He is survived by his wife Lidia Bocanegra and his 9 kids: Tina Cabello (Adrian), Manuel George Bocanegra Jr., Laura Martinez, Elber Bocanegra (Teresa), Andy Bocanegra (Rory), Beatrice Castillo (Jose), Tanya Bocanegra, Manuel Abram Bocanegra (Maria), and Jason Bocanegra (Drina), 34 grandchildren, and 22 great grandchildren.

Manuel was born on February 22, 1953 in Greenville, TX. He met his wife and soulmate Lidia in 1977 and they married on July 6, 1985. He will be remembered for his love of working on cars, which he passes onto his sons and oldies music. The one thing he cherished the most were his grandchildren. Although he will be missed, we know he is at peace.

Services:

Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30am on September 28th at Jeter & Son Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas

Funeral service will immediately follow at 10:30pm.

Graveside service will be held at the Lincoln Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.
