Born in El Paso, TX, on February 4, 1929, to Soledad Murillo and Jose Garcia, Lucinda grew up with her three brothers and mother in El Paso, TX.
Her natural love for children led her to work in daycares in both El Paso and Dallas for many years. She was also an active member of the senior center community and a skilled negotiator in sales.
In January of 1945, Lucinda married Willie Madrid, and together they raised seven children and one grandson. She is loving remembered by her children Oscar (Yvonne), Jose "Joe" (Delores), Carlos, Christina (Robert), David (Robin), Raul (Maggie), 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, and 8 great-great-grandchildren.
