Lucille E. Atencio - Reid (Maria Epefania De La Luz Atencio) was born on January 24, 1926 in Igancio, Colorado. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on September 22, 2024, in North Richland Hills, Texas.

Lucille graduated from a beauty college in California. Lucille's passion for cosmetology followed her to Texas where she owned and operated Jeff Davis Beauty & Barber Salon in Oak Cliff for over 46 years. Lucille was an avid painter who created many masterpieces in her lifetime. She also enjoyed crocheting, sewing quilts, and reading the Lord's word. Lucille was very creative, beautiful, kind, hardworking, selfless, graceful, intelligent, and most of all loving. She was a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt, and Nana. She taught us to appreciate every single moment that God gives us. We were blessed wonderful 98 years with her before God called her home. Her legacy will live on forever in our hearts.

She is survived by her immediate family who cared for her which includes: her granddaughter Stephanie & her husband Kenneth, great-granddaughter Melinda and her husband Esteban, and their son, her great-great-grandson Mateo. Great-granddaughter Margarita and her partner Daniel.  She is also survived by her sister Ruth Atencio-Golden Beber and her husband Larry, granddaughter Angela and husband Arthor, and children Isaiah and Autymn, Granddaughter Elizabeth and Husband Thomas and son Stoney, Granddaughter Ashlie and son Jeffrey; great-grandson Daniel and wife Alma, and many other loving family members including adored nieces and nephews from the Atencio and Reid families.

Lucille is preceded in death by her son Robert Manning Reid Jr, her husband Robert Manning Reid Sr, her two sisters Carmen Atencio-DellaBosca, sister Tommie Atencio- Kenney, sister Lillian Atencio-Casias , brother Tony Atencio, brother Abel Atencio, brother Joe Atencio and her parents Maria Amelinda & Able Atencio .
