Linda Kay Stratton

August 9, 1943 - November 3, 2023

Linda Kay Stratton, known as Granny to most of her family and friends went to be with Jesus on Friday, November 3, 2023 in her home in Pottsboro, Texas surrounded by her loving family. Linda was the only child born to Martha Geneva Calvert in Bristow, Oklahoma on August 9, 1943.  She was eighty years young when she went to join our Heavenly Father.

Linda graduated high school from Palo Duro High School in Amarillo, TX. She worked at Texoma Medical Center in food service faithfully for over 20 years. She is preceded in death by her husband Thel Laverne Underwood, her sweet loving mother, Gevena Turner and beloved dad, Lee Turner. She is survived by her children Shelly Longmire and Dorlene Dodd as well as four grandsons, Garrett Floyd, Chris Phillips, Josh Phillips and Jack Dodd.  In addition to her two children and four grandsons she had 12 great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.

Granny loved her daughters and grandchildren; spending time with them was one of her greatest joys. Granny had a giving heart, if you needed something and she was able to help she did, with a smile on her face. Her favorite thing to do with her grandkids is sneak them tasty treats like honeybuns. Granny always doted on her loving family, never letting anyone forget how much she loved them or how proud she was of them.

Celebration of Life will be held at Straight Arrow Camp, 90006 Preston Bend Rd, Pottsboro, TX 75076 on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 6:00pm.
