Linda Luann
Arce
Oct 30, 1948 — Jun 19, 2026
October 30, 1948 - June 19, 2026
Linda Luann Arce was born on October 30th, 1948 in Pilot Point, Texas. She was adopted by James and Marie (Mama) Knudson at just a few months after she was born. Linda was the only child of James and Marie Knudson.
Linda married Rodolfo G. Arce on March 23rd, 1979 and the wedding ceremony was held in the chapel of Tyler Street United Methodist Church. During her nearly fifty-year membership at Tyler Street, Linda, together with her husband Pepe, was a faithful member of several Sunday School classes, including their current one, King's Joy, and served in the choir for many years until her lack of mobility forced her to stay home.
She loved singing in the choir.
Linda worked for many years at John D. Ellis Book Bindery in Dallas and retired early from that job. After retiring from the bindery, she engaged in a little entrepreneur business by selling Avon products for years, and also volunteered at Methodist Hospital for a number of years. Linda loved baking, and any time there was a bake sale at Tyler Street Christian Academy, where her son Calixto attended, she provided many cakes for those activities as well as baking for many fellowships at Tyler Street Church.
Linda was preceded in death by her loving father, James (1957), and Mama (2006), and her loving son, Julian Arce of Plano, Texas (2019). She is survived by her husband Rodolfo of 47 years, her son Calixto and wife Brenda of Longview, Texas; daughter Natalie Arce of Plano; grandchildren Julie and Bob Scott, Jessica and Maxwell Brant, Diego; Christopher, Catherine; Edgar and Marco; granddaughter Mina. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Enhabit Hospice Service for the tender care they provided during Linda's last days.
