Obituary

Lerrie Villanueva Azucena was born January 13, 1946 in Davao City, Philippines to Isauro Villanueva and Adoracion Mibulos Rolda and passed away peacefully on Sept 7, 2022 in Fort Worth, TX at the age of 76.
She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Dr. Laurel Azucena; daughter Laurie Holtsclaw; son Lance Azucena; son-in-law Andy Holtsclaw; grandchildren Kyra and Mckenna Holtsclaw; and her sisters and brothers Annie Rolda, Susan Limcaco, Grace Tanglao, Rainier Rolda, Joi Pechardo, and Tani Rolda.
Lerrie (aka Mama Ler) was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt who was always putting the needs of her family before her own. She also had many friends from all over the states and was a well-loved classmate of Union High School and St. Rita School of Nursing in the Philippines whom she kept in touch with, some over 60+ years.
She loved nature, especially butterflies and all kinds of plants, she was crafty and artistic, enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, playing word games and being around babies and children. She was a mom to many and touched our lives with her thoughtful and caring ways.
We invite anyone who knew her to attend the memorial service and ask that you wear bright colors as this was one of her requests. Thank you.

Visitation will begin at 12:00PM Wednesday, September 21, 2022 with a

Celebration of Life service at 1:00PM.

Burial will follow at Dallas / Fort Worth National Cemetery.
