Laura Pauline Villegas, 66, of Dallas, passed away on July 25, 2025, after a lengthy and courageous battle with multiple myeloma. Laura had a strong faith in Christ, which was the foundation of her life since she was a young girl.

Laura was born to Melvin and Patricia Sumrall on November 17, 1958, in Pueblo, CO. Once in Texas, Laura attended Mesquite High School. She spent years devoted to being a mother to her three sons, and in her spare time jewelry design. Years later, Laura received her Bachelors in Science in Criminal Justice at Texas Women's University, and began her professional career, where she was employed at the law firm, Kane Russell Coleman and Logan PC until her passing. She married Agustine Villegas on September 4, 2016. Agustine was a devoted husband who took pride in caring for her.

Laura is survived by her husband, Agustine of Dallas, her three sons and their families; Aaron (Suzanne), Luke (Courtney), and Connor (Lauren), as well as Meme, Clari, and Juan. These children were her pride and joy! Also left to cherish her memory are her eight grandchildren Slade, Aspyn, Saige, Sloane, Alistair, Caroline, Callum, and Lucy. She is survived by her father, Melvin Sumrall, and siblings; Susie, Jerry (Audrey), and Karen (Guy), as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Laura was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia Sumrall and sister Pamela Carol.

Her family will remember her as a creative trailblazer who loved her family fiercely with a bit of flair. She enjoyed hosting family functions, cheering at sporting events, and classic cars.

Services will be at Jeter & Son Chapel, 4830 W. Illinois Ave, Dallas, Texas.

Visitation will be Wednesday August 6, 2025, from 2:00-6:00PM.

Funeral service at 10:00AM on Thursday August 7, 2025.

Burial to follow at Laurel Land Cemetery.
