October 11, 1960 - June 5, 2025
It is with deep sorrow and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Donald Jimenez, Sr., age 64, who passed away on June 5, 2025, in Duncanville, Texas.
Larry was born on October 11, 1960, in Dallas, Texas, to Sarah and Bernardo Acevedo. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Larry spent 41 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Cynthia Estrada Jimenez, who was his constant companion and true love. Their families knew each other through the baseball community and together they built a life rich with support and love.
Larry had a passion for playing baseball growing up and eventually gave back to his friends, family, and community as a coach. He was a faithful fan of the Dallas Cowboys and loved sharing his enthusiasm for the team with friends and family. His greatest joy, however, was being surrounded by those he loved. His dedication to family and his warm, caring nature made him the heart of every gathering.
Larry is preceded in death by parents Bernardo and Sarah Acevedo, sister Olga Acevedo, sister Sonja Jimenez, and niece baby Diane Jimenez.
Larry is survived by his wife, Cynthia, daughter Angie and spouse Ben, daughter Sonja, son Joseph and spouse Rosario, son Christopher, daughter Lola and spouse Tim, son Larry and spouse Alma, and son Larry. Larry is also survived by his sister Pearl and spouse Joe, brother Bernardo and spouse Jolisa, and sister Pola. Larry also has 26 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren that survive him.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 10th, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Jeter and Son Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas. A funeral service will follow at 4:30 PM.
Larry will be greatly missed by all who knew him. His legacy of love, humor, and loyalty will live on in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
