Kurt Odell O'Bregon
July 23, 1966 - May 23, 2023
Our beloved Kurt Odell O'Bregon (KO), a member of the Ponca Tribe, was born July 23, 1966, in San Antonio, Texas. Surrounded by loved ones, he passed away on May 23, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas. Before he was born, he was already the baby of the family of seven, who would be loved and wanted by them all.
Growing up he enjoyed playing football which developed into his love for the Cowboys, Texas teams, and all sports. His nieces and nephews will forever remember him as the all-time quarterback. He also had a passion for all genres of music and attended many concerts and live music. His favorite pass time was enjoying some steak and lobster with family and friends. Above all, Kurt loved his family and becoming an uncle. His biggest smile came when he got called Gramps.
KO graduated high school and soon traveled north to Arlington, Texas. He worked for the city of Arlington Park department. Due to an injury, he retired early and spent his extra time making memories with his family.
KO is truly loved and missed by his family and friends.
He is survived by his siblings Richard O'Bregon Jr. of Austin, TX, Pamela Jean Galloway of Fort Worth, Texas, Linda O'Bregon of Arlington, Texas, Fawn Waggoner of Prosper, Texas; many nephews and nieces, grandkids, and great-grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents Richard O'Bregon Senior and Nellie Roughface O'Bregon, grandparents Daniel and Ruth O'Bregon; Nelson and Leona Biggoose-Roughface, nephews Ryan O'Bregon, and grandson Dominic Hansen.
