In Loving Memory
Kelis Arione Thompson
February 11, 2005 – July 17, 2025
Kelis Arione Thompson was born on February 11, 2005, in Dallas, Texas, to Dallan K. Womack. She graduated from Justin F. Kimball High School in 2023.
Affectionately known as Keke and Milkshake, Kelis had a vibrant spirit and a heart full of joy. While still in high school, she landed her first job at Fiesta on Hampton as a stocker—an accomplishment that made her ecstatic. Her second job, at Iron Mountain, became more than just work; it brought her fulfillment and joy, and she remained there until her passing.
Keke was a self-taught visual and tattoo artist, known for her creativity and unique expression. She had a deep love for her family and friends, and a gift for peacemaking—always striving to see those around her happy.
She was a true foodie, with favorites ranging from breakfast delights to sushi, street tacos, and chilled ramen. Her go-to hangouts included Trinity Groves and the Botanical Garden, where she found inspiration and peace. Her love for music was wide-ranging and timeless—from the sounds of Masego to the soul of Stevie Wonder.
Keke was known for her independence and determination. Despite her dislike for riding the bus, she never missed a day of work—relying on Uber until she took matters into her own hands. After carefully researching dealerships that supported young adult buyers, she Ubered to Fort Worth and returned home proudly with her first car, which she lovingly named Gizmo.
She was preceded in death by her beloved uncle Rickey L. Flewellen, her great-grandfather Howard L. Flewellen, and her great-great-grandfather, also Howard L. Flewellen.
Keke leaves to cherish her memory her loving mother, Dallan K. Womack; her devoted grandmother, Cassandra Flewellen; and her great-grandmother, Katie Flewellen. She is also remembered by her grandfather, Damien Womack; her aunts, Treva Flewellen, Mandisa Womack, Tempest Byerly, and Toni Chavis; and her great-aunts, Sherry and Vickey Flewellen. Keke's memory will live on through her uncles, Walani, Kurtis, and Tarik Womack, and her favorite cousin, Amirah Womack, affectionately known to her as "Pretty Girl." She will be deeply missed by a host of cousins, other relatives, and dear friends who loved her dearly.
To Jabo and family, Rachel, Bailey, and "Mom and Dad"—you were true blessings in her life. As Proverbs 25:11 reminds us:
"A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver."
Keke's light will continue to shine in every heart she touched. Her laughter, artistry, and love remain unforgettable.
