Obituary

Kathleen Shultz

Our beloved mother, Kathleen Sue Shultz, age 71, passed away peacefully in her sleep on May 18, 2026. Kathleen was the heart of our family — a woman whose love, strength, and unwavering support shaped every chapter of our lives. Her presence was steady, her kindness constant, and her devotion to her family unshakeable.

Born to Norbert and Alice Knebel, Kathleen grew up on the farm with eight siblings; Constance, William, Charles, Donna, Gary, Edward, Mary, Dennis. She was surrounded by the values that would define her entire life: compassion, resilience, and a deep commitment to the people she loved. She carried those values into adulthood, building a home filled with warmth, laughter, and the kind of unconditional love that leaves a lasting mark on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Kathleen married the love of her life, Richard Allen Shultz Sr., and together they built a family rooted in loyalty and care. She was preceded in death by Richard, and her strength in the years that followed reflected the quiet courage that had always been a part of her spirit.

She is survived by her three sons — Allen Mason Shultz, Richard Allen Shultz Jr, and Matthew Allen Shultz. Being their mother was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into raising them with patience, guidance, and endless love.

Kathleen was also a proud grandmother to Erica Shultz and Sarah Shultz, who brought her immeasurable happiness. Her legacy continues through her three great‑grandchildren, whose lives are already touched by the love she passed down through generations.

She worked hard throughout her life, not for recognition, but out of love — love for her family, love for her home, and love for the life she built. Her memory will be cherished in the stories we share, the traditions she created, and the quiet moments of comfort she gave so freely.

We invite friends and loved ones to hold Kathleen in their thoughts and remember her with the same warmth, generosity, and kindness she offered to everyone she met.
