Karl J. Young

October 8, 1976 - June 22, 2022

Karl Joseph Young went to be with the Lord on June 22, 2022. He was born on October 8, 1976 to David and Cheryl Young in Texas City, Texas. He traveled on and off with his family before graduating from Santa Fe High School in 1995. On June 23, 2000 he eloped with the love of his life, Emily, getting married on the beach in the Bahamas. After several years of college and working retail, Karl started working in the oilfield where he discovered he was happiest working with his hands. He enjoyed the satisfaction of a hard days work.

Karl and Emily were blessed with two children: Matthew(14) and Megan(11). He truly loved being a father, especially when it involved giving their friends a hard time. He was known for his quick wit, and great sense of humor. Recently he fulfilled a life long dream of starting his own business, TX RV Roof. He was so excited and happy about this new adventure and opportunity to be closer to home.

He is survived by his parents David Young and his spouse Maylen; Cheryl Brandenburger and husband Wayne; Wife Emily (Kruckeberg) Young; children: Matthew and Megan; brother: Donnie Young and family; sister: Andretta Young; father and mother-in-law. Aaron Kruckeberg and family, family-friend and adopeted sister, Jeanette Underwood, numerous nieces and nephews and many more cherished family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 6:00 PM, Monday, June 27, 2022 at Stonegate Church, Midlothian, Texas.
