June Herron Hawkins went to be with the Lord on November 8, 2013. She was preceded in death by her cherished husband, Cecil, and is survived by her five children, ten grandchildren, and six great grandchildren, who loved her dearly.

She attended Columbia International University,formaly known as Columbia Bible College, Columbia, South Carolina, where she met Cecil Eugene Hawkins. They married on June 11, 1949. Together they served with Wycliffe Bible Translators for over fifty years.

She walked humbly with her God (Micah 6:8) and her life was defined by Ephesians 4:32. Kindness, humility, patience, and forgiveness were her greatest attributes. It can truly be said her children arise up and call her blessed" Proverbs 31:28. She has joined her heavenly family and has entered into everlasting life with her beloved Cecil. Together they shall dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Amen. A Memorial Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on November 18, 2013 at Wycliffe Activity Center. Burial will be at National Cemetery, at 12:30 p.m.
