Juanita Tovar Rico

Juanita Tovar Rico was born to Emiliano and Maria Tovar on August 11, 1947, in Thornton, TX

Her mother and father proceeded her in death. Her siblings proceeding her in death are Jesse Tovar, Elias Tovar, Paul Tovar, Abel Tovar, Samuel Tovar, Eliseo Tovar, and her sisters Magge Tovar, and Lupe Franco. Her surviving brother is Emiliano Tovar Jr.

She is survived by her husband Francisco B. Rico Jr., sons Francisco Tovar Rico Jr. III, Alfred Rico, Jesse Rico and Carlos Rico, her daughters, Mary Alice Alvarado, and Sally Rico. Her Grandchildren, Aeron Alector Alvarado, Adrien Thomas Alvarado, Matthew Lee Rico, Mark Anthony Rico, Emily Marie Rico, Jacob Michael Rico, Adam Taylor Graciano, Nathan Ray Rico, Zachary Noah Rico, Amanda Justine Rico, Jesus Diaz III, Christian Isaac Escobar, Eliana Voctoria Escobar and 7 great grandchildren.

Juanita met Frank Rico in 1963. The romance blossomed as Frank impressed Juanita with his hard work ethics and his emphasis on the importance of strong family values, and not to mention his good looks, they quickly became high school sweethearts. They married in 1964. From that point on, they soon became tied at the hip doing everything as a great team. Together they built a beautiful family, a beautiful home with a deep love for each other that would last for almost six decades.

She was a loving Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother, beloved by all. We were blessed to have been in her life.

Services :

Visitation will take place at Jeter & Son Funeral Home in Dallas, TX on October 2, 2023 from 3-6pm, with a Rosary at 4:30pm.

Funeral Service will be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Dallas, TX on October 3, 2023 at 10am.

Graveside service will held immediately following the funeral at Calvary Hill Cemetery, Dallas, TX.
