Juanita T. Contreras, 99, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, in Irving, Texas. She was born on June 24, 1927, in Rockdale, Texas.

Juanita will be remembered for her warm heart, generous spirit, and joyful personality. She found happiness in cooking, tending to her yard and garden, dancing, and listening to music. She was always kind, giving, and quick to bring a smile to those around her. Her homemade tamales were a family favorite and became one of the many ways she expressed her love for family and friends.

She cherished the time she spent with family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved getting together with friends and her door was always open for visitors. She loved to laugh and brought so much joy to others. She worked hard to provide herself a good life and always shared everything she had.

She is survived by her beloved son, Pete Contreras, daughter-in-law MaryAlice, granddaughter Sandra Aguilar and husband Jesse, grandson John Contreras, and great-grandsons Christian and Justin Aguilar. She is preceded in death by brothers; Juan Torres, Monico Torres, Cleto Torres; two sisters; Cecilia Salazar and Louisa Rivera. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Family and friends are invited to gather in celebration of Juanita's life on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Jeter & Son Funeral Home. A graveside service will immediately follow at Calvary Hill Cemetery in Dallas, Texas.

Juanita's legacy of love, kindness, generosity, and devotion to her family will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
